Post Punk Kabaret is a music theatre narrative set in the present. The production flirts with the classic cabaret of the 1920s, although its sonic image includes various musical genres that emerged alongside punk or continued its path and, over time, transformed into different genres. Elements of jazz, soul, blues, hip hop, punk, hardcore, and various electronic genres and subgenres appear, at times even reaching classical structures of musical history. Above all, every non sung sound is subordinated to the most beautiful of instruments, the human voice. Post Punk Kabaret is also a performance about contemporary capitalist society, where workers “run the assembly line while starving”, and about capital permeating and possessing the whole of society.
